Dr. Atluri is unusual among clinical psychiatrists because of his extensive training and experience in neuroscience. Dr. Atluri has authored or co-authored papers published in the peer-reviewed journals Cerebral Cortex, Biophysical Journal, Journal of Neuroscience, and Nature Neuroscience. Dr. Atluri is working on a book elucidating the neurobiology of mental illness.

Dr. Atluri specializes in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, which is also known as Insight-Oriented, Expressive, or Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
