Teddy’s Riga takes a pride to reside in renowned historical dwelling, The House of Johannes Reitern. Built in 1684-1688 by rich town hall member Johann Reitern and by city architect R. Bindenschuh, Northern-Baroque style masterpiece boasts elaborate stone carvings along main splendid façade on Mārstaļu street. The house was completely restored in 1986-1990, so no need to worry about crumbling ceiling.

As the building is of major historical importance, certain modern amenities are limited or restricted by the law. Both Teddy and you shall be reaching the home on foot, elevators were not invented in the year 1688!! Everyone needs some exercise, so take your steps up and return from Riga more healthy and fit! Reception and dorm rooms are set up on third floor; double rooms are on forth floor. No-one resides on floors one, two and three, so you have the whole space for your own fun! For most adventurous guests we keep the keys of cellar and romantic attic, which can be privately admired.
