JCSGold is the online division of Jefferson Coin, which began as a small local coin shop in Charlottesville, VA in 1962. Mac Luck started the shop as a hobby built around his and his dad's love of coin collecting. In 1979, Mac Luck's son Jim Luck took over the shop and began to transform it from a hobby into a full fledged business.

Locally, Jefferson Coin is known as the place to buy and sell your gold and silver coins, and the the goal is to become 'America's Local Coin Shop.' We want all of our customers to feel like they are right across the counter from us whether they are in Anchorage, Alaska or here in Charlottesville, Virginia.
